Off Book: The Reincarnation of God-Level Crafting
Conceptually maybe there's a trope I'm into here. It's about a game players who gets reincarnated into a game he the best at into a class considered bad. We have a kid who never comes in first obsessed with a VR game and dies before he gets the pinnacle achievement. There's a lot here that similar to Surviving the Game as a Barbarian. But this pales in comparison on almost every level.
Oh a setup level the protagonist doesn't show any competencies to anything other than the game. Why can he craft guns? Why doesn't he craft anything else? (mostly) It's supposed to be that he worked hard and got 2nd place so he knows things but he only knows guns? It's kinda silly when you think about it.
The antagonistic force of the series are other merchants being put out of business. They're fighting the war because they make weapons. They fight Allen because he's putting them out of jobs. At the outskirts the mercenaries are upset because they can't gets jobs. The merchant guilds is upset because weapons sellers and blacksmiths are out of jobs. This actually reminds me of slave isekai because he's literally becoming the economy. But whereas there it's framed as a good things. Here it's framed as an innocent things. He offers to give the weapon sellers the job back but they refuse without their blacksmiths and he offers them nothing. The story doesn't care much less it's protagonist. These weapons are broken they fire infinite ammo and auto reload by magic.
Allen the Protagonist finally reaches some difficult and limits around ch40 when he has to fight something overpowered enough that his crystal supply runs low. He's spent so much time leveling up by supplying others he has actually gathered his own supply. Kinda that opposite of Heck Mode. He just never suffers or works for anything. His character is mostly empty. He's not a fun edgelord like in Failure Frame or Solo Leveling or many of our favorite growl-talker teenagers, who act like they're grizzled 40 year old men (looking at you Saikyou Ansatsusha, Class Teni de Isekai e).

The art is uninspired. After Surviving the Game as a Barbarian and Greatest Estate Developer and Isekai Samurai there's a great level of artwork. This is below functional. This is a fantasy game world and when the leader of the guild shows up in modern dress it felt weird not even the protagonist is dressed modern.

The entire art direction feels lazy the only thing I've seen worse are manhua where they use patterns and don't bother warping them. Licking dog system comes to mind. The characters don't have life to them. There's a generic bully, a generic rogue a generic sorceress, etc. There's no design to the designs it feels like a unity asset game.
